Quality Approach

and Accreditation

Quality Approach :

From its inception, the Amilcar Polyclinic has implemented a continuous quality improvement approach aimed at providing patients with comfort, quality, and safety throughout their stay at the clinic, in compliance with legal obligations and the code of ethics.

The commitment to quality is shared by the management and all medical, paramedical, administrative, and technical teams of our clinic.

A “quality” policy has been established to deliver the best results in healthcare and to meet your expectations. To this end, a quality improvement program with specific goals and implementation priorities has been developed.

To promote the quality policy, the clinic has equipped itself with the necessary resources by hiring a specialized quality manager, an engineer who will be responsible for overseeing the quality policy. This manager will be supported by a quality unit, assisted by multidisciplinary thematic committees, whose mission is to define, implement, and monitor the action plans of our quality approach and report to the quality steering committee.

Quality procedures are developed and applied by the various teams of the establishment to improve the quality of care and patient safety.

The quality module on the Synapse system contains all the procedures of the Amilcar Clinic.

Accreditation :

Amilcar Polyclinic is committed to an accreditation process with an organization recognized both nationally and internationally.

The accreditation of a healthcare facility is a complementary step to the quality approach. It is conducted through an external evaluation to assess the level of performance in its operations and practices, and to evaluate its capacity and the relevance of the efforts undertaken to continuously improve the quality of care and patient safety in relation to the resources available to the establishment.

Accreditation aims to:

  • Improve the quality of care and patient safety, with the ultimate goal of satisfying users of the Tunisian healthcare system.
  • Engage the facility’s professionals in a continuous process of self-assessment and re-evaluation of their organizations, operational methods, and practices by adopting a continuous improvement approach to the quality and safety of services, thereby better responding to users’ needs.

The clinic is currently working on an accreditation manual that includes the standards and requirements covering all the clinic’s activities:

  • Strategic
  • Cross-functional resources (human, financial, maintenance, etc.)
  • Quality and risk management
  • Patient pathways
